Acappellago: A group of singers; an exotic musical escape to a wonderful place of songs both old and new.
A cappellago, member of Chorus America, is an a cappella chamber choir performing in the western suburbs of Chicago. We are thrilled to invite you to join us for our sixth season as we “escape” to many times and places through the joys of a cappella music
Acappellago’s special appearances have included Chicago Composer’s Forum’s first John Cage’s “Musicircus” in September 2005, singing the Star Spangled Banner for the Chicago Cubs, the Chicago White Sox, the Kane County Cougars and the Schaumburg Flyers. Special appearances already scheduled for our sixth season include our fourth appearance at the “Christmas around the World” Festival at the Museum of Science and Industry scheduled for Saturday, December 15, 2007 at 1:30 pm and our first “accompanied” performance with the Salt Creek Sinfonietta on March 9, 2008 performing Fanny Hensel’s “Hiob”.
While targeting the ever-growing western suburbs of Chicago, our venues in Naperville and Oak Brook are easily accessible from the major expressways and we draw on the greater Chicago area for our performers and our audiences.
